Coleccion Visionaria is an exceptional rum that embodies Brugal's visionary spirit and 135 years of rum-making expertise. Over the years, Brugal’s Maestro Roneros have dedicated themselves to creating the best rum possible and Jassil Villanueva 5th generation Maestra Ronera and part of the Brugal family, is no exception. She has dedicated herself to creating exceptional rums and carrying on the family's legacy. But what sets this unique rum apart is the visionary Aromatic Cask Toasting technique used, a new process that is completely unique to Brugal called Aromatic Cask Toasting. Brugal’s Maestra Ronera has carefully selected the finest Dominican cacao beans to toast European virgin oak casks and infuse them with natural aromas, the cacao beans are then removed before the casks are filled with rum and aged. This new technique adds depth and complexity to the rum through the toasting technique without the cacao beans ever getting in contact with the rum directly.  For this edition of Coleccion Visionaria, Jassil Villanueva has selected Cacao because of the deep connection it has with her family and home. When nosing the glass, imagine the green cacao fields that surrounded her family's home and the bittersweet scent of the cacao pods and rich aromas of roasted beans. She has brought this unique aromas to life with this rum.
